Reyare Thomas was perfect in National Junior College Championship individual events, in the United States, this season.
Competing for Iowa Central Community College, Thomas won the women’s 60 metres title at the Junior College Indoor Championships in a personal best 7.37 seconds.
At the Outdoor Championships, the 24-year-old athlete completed the sprint double. Thomas struck gold in the 100m dash in 11.30 seconds – also a pb. And in the 200 metres, she triumphed in 23.67.
Thomas also attempted the double at the National Championships in Port of Spain. She clocked 11.38 seconds to finish fifth in the 100 metres final, and was third in the half-lap championship race in 23.36 - a new PR (personal record).
