Commonwealth Games Associations (CGAs) have officially marked the one-year-to-go milestone to Gold Coast 2018.

The host city led the celebrations, which began with an early risers breakfast event hosted by several well-known athletes at The Star Gold Coast, one of the Games’ sponsors.

Port of Spain, Trinidad. The Trinidad and Tobago Commonwealth Games Association (TTCGA) joins the Commonwealth nations in celebrating one year to the XXI Commonwealth Games. From 4th – 15th April 2018, over 6,600 athletes and team officials from 70 nations and territories will converge on the Gold Coast for an 11-day sporting and cultural event.

For the first time ever in the history of a major multi-sport Games, there will be an equal number of medal events for men and women, as seven additional women’s events and categories across Weightlifting, Boxing and Cycling are confirmed on to the sports programme for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.
