The Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee (TTOC) extends deepest condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of former Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago Mr Patrick Manning.

It was the presentation T&T had been waiting for since last year and on Wednesday night, the 4x100 metres relay team of Richard Thompson, Keston Bledman, Emmanuel Callender and Marc Burns finally got to drape their silver medals around their necks.

In the Ancient Olympic Games, the athletes came to live and compete together in Ancient Olympia, but at most early Games of the Modern era, those taking part did not live in an Olympic Village but in hotel accommodation around the host city.

THE Port-of-Spain City Corporation celebrated its 102nd Anniversary at the Lord Harris Square on Abercromby Street on Thursday. The event which also marked the 70th Anniversary of the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee (TTOC), hosted approximately 500 Primary School students, as part of ongoing efforts by the TTOC and the Port-of-Spain City Corporation to obtain 10 Olympic Medals for Trinidad and Tobago by the year 2024.

Daneil Williams and Simon Blake won a “Golden Set” 15-7 over Nicaraguans Ruben Mora and Danny Lopez as T&T men’s beach volleyball team kept alive their dream of an Olympic Games appearance with a 3-2 round-of-16 win when the double-elimination 12-team NORCECA Continental Cup Finals served off yesterday.
