An Olympic medal still remains out of reach for women athletes in T&T. This has haunted T&T Olympic Committee (TTOC) president Brian Lewis way before he took over the organisation and he is consistently seeking to develop new strategies in trying to achieve this goal.

The Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee is set to launch its “Future is Female” programme, an initiative focused on assisting the country’s female athletes to break the Olympic medal drought. It will be a focused element of the #10golds24 Athlete Welfare and Preparation fund.

Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee (TTOC) president Brian Lewis battled two cramps and aching knees to finish his “walk the talk” mission when he crossed the finish line of the 26.2-mile Trinidad and Tobago International Marathon, on January 25th.

Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee (TTOC) president summarised the Team TTO effort as “ tough but positive” at the Rio Olympic Games.
Keshorn Walcott’s bronze medal was the only precious metal Team TTO earned after a four-medal haul in the previous London Olympics.
