Please be advised that Trinidad & Tobago Olympian for the sport of rowing, Ms. Felice Aisha Chow, will be participating in the 2017 World Rowing Cup III being held in Lucerne, Switzerland this weekend.
The 2017 World Rowing Cup III in Lucerne, Switzerland is the third and final stage of the World Rowing Cups. With nearly 700 athletes entered, it is the biggest event so far this season. The racing will be fierce as crews have their final opportunity to see how they measure up before the World Rowing Championships at the end of September.

Our Felice Aisha Chow will participate in the first round of women’s singles sculls on Friday, 7th July, 2017, and we expect that she will progress through the later rounds across the weekend.

ABOUT THE TTCRF ABOUT THE TTCRF The Trinidad & Tobago Canoeing & Rowing Federation (formerly known as the Trinidad &
Tobago Canoe/Kayak Federation) was formed in 2004 to be the National Sporting Organisation for canoeing and rowing sports in T&T and in October of 2004 we were accepted as a member of the International Canoe Federation. The Inaugural General Meeting took place in December of 2007 and the affiliated paddle sports organizations were and still are the Trinidad Surf Ski Club, The Trinidad Kayak Club and the Sixth Trinidad Sea Scouts.
Kayaking has been an informal recreational sport in T&T for many years, but more recently there has been growing interest amongst keen local paddlers to compete against each other and against international paddlers.
In 2016, TTCKF attended the FISA Congress in London and accompanied one athlete to the FISA development camp and Olympic qualifier which was held in March in Chile. T&T rower Felice Aisha Chow qualified for the Olympics in Rio, under the auspices of the TTCKF. She subsequently competed and finished 22nd overall.
In April of 2017, the TTCKF was formally renamed as the Trinidad & Tobago Canoeing & Rowing Federation.

The World Rowing Federation, FISA (from the French, Fédération Internationale des Sociétés d’Aviron) is the governing body of the sport of rowing. It is empowered by its 151 member National Rowing Federations, the National Olympic Committees and the International Olympic Committee to govern the sport of rowing.
FISA sets the rules and regulations for the practice of the sport, in all its forms including elite, para-rowing, coastal, masters and aspects of indoor rowing. FISA oversees sanctioned World Rowing events and provides advice and expertise for the organisation of rowing regattas. The Federation also works on coaching education and other matters relating to the sport and its development.
