Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) President Dame Louise Martin described 2019 as an "incredibly important year" for the organisation in her New Year's message.

Officials from the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) will conduct site visits to Gibraltar and Trinidad and Tobago in the first quarter of next year after the Executive Board voiced its approval for the two candidates in the running to host the 2021 Youth Games.

The Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee (TTOC) and Trinidad and Tobago Commonwealth Games Association (TTCGA) has extended congratulations to one of Trinidad and Tobago’s top sport administrators, Mrs. Maureen Craig-Rousseau on her re-election to the International Hockey Federation (FIH) Executive Board at its recently held 46th Congress in New Delhi, India.

Kigali in Rwanda will host next year's Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) General Assembly, it was announced today.

PRESIDENT of the TT Olympic Committee (TTOC) Brian Lewis, said he plans to have discussions with the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs about this country hosting the 2021 Commonwealth Youth Games.

Trinidad and Tobago are considering a bid for the 2021 Commonwealth Youth Games following Northern Ireland being stripped of the event.

With negotiations over hosting the 2022 Commonwealth Games at a close and its predecessor Gold Coast 2018 now just a month away, you could be forgiven for thinking that Birmingham would take a back seat for the next couple of months.

As the temperature dips to minus 8 degrees and the Pyeongchang Olympic Winter Games gets into full swing, you could be forgiven for feeling a world away from Australia’s Gold Coast, which is currently basking in a balmy 28 degrees and warm sunshine. Tomorrow, however, marks just 50-days-to-go until the Games.

The Medal Story

For many generations the Gold Coast coastline has been a place for gathering, meeting and sport. The Medal design represents the soft sand lines which shift with every tide and wave and is symbolic of athletic achievement. As the water moves towards low tide, each wave moves the sand, creating and leaving behind new lines in the sand witnessed by those present.

Team TTO Bahamas 2017 Commonwealth Youth Games Opening Ceremony

Athletes competing at the Commonwealth Youth Games were given a good luck message by Her Majesty The Queen before Bahamas Prime Minister Hubert Minnis declared the event open during a fun-filled Ceremony here tonight.

Team TTO Commonwealth Youth Games athletes will attend an Athlete Career Programme (Youth) at Olympic House, 121 Abercromby Street, Port of Spain tomorrow (June 10th, 2017).
