Trinidad and Tobago Women’s sevens team had a stern test as they attempted to claim the final qualifying spot at this month’s Olympic Repêchage tournament on June 25-26 in Dublin, Ireland.

Trinidad and Tobago insist there are "no limits" to what they can achieve as they prepare to compete with more established women's sevens sides for the final ticket to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games in Dublin this weekend.

Larry Mendez, T&T men’s rugby coach is hoping his team will redeem itself from Saturday’s defeat to Guyana, when the Rugby Americas North Sevens Championship (RAN) is hosted here in November.

T&T women’s rugby sevens team led by captain Ayana Skeete left yesterday for Ireland ahead of the World Rugby Women's Sevens Olympic Repechage in Dublin. The Olympic qualifying tournament will take place from June 25-26.

RUGBY IS MAKING ITS RETURN TO THE OLYMPIC FOLD AFTER A 92-YEAR ABSENCE AT RIO 2016, WHERE 12 TEAMS WILL LINE UP IN THE MEN’S SEVENS TOURNAMENT. AMONG THEM ARE HOT FAVOURITES FIJI, WHO ARE AIMING TO WIN THEIR COUNTRY’S FIRST EVER OLYMPIC MEDAL.

The Trinidad and Tobago Women’s Rugby Sevens team departs today (15 June) for Ireland ahead of their Olympic qualifying event. Team TTO Rugby Women’s Sevens team will compete in the Marble City 7’s Rugby Tournament on Saturday (18 June) in Kilkenny before heading to Dublin for the World Rugby Women's Sevens Olympic Repechage next weekend.
