T&T's Mar­lon 'Wal­do' Phillip and Daynte Stew­art capped off a stel­lar week­end with a bronze medal when the third leg of the 2019 NORCE­CA Beach Vol­ley­ball Tour­na­ment end­ed at Man­agua, Nicaragua, yes­ter­day.

T&T's top men and women beach vol­ley­ball du­os, Daneil Williams and Daynte Stew­art, and Rheeza Grant and Ab­by Black­man, will be tar­get­ing ninth spot when the fifth stop of the NORCE­CA Beach Vol­ley­ball Cir­cuit con­cludes at Bo­ca Chi­ca, Do­mini­can Re­pub­lic, on Sun­day.

A year ago, 32-year-old Trinidad and Tobago national volleyball player Ayanna Dyette was diagnosed with Stage Four cervical cancer.

The top T&T men and women beach vol­ley­ball teams of Daneil Williams and Daynte Stew­art, and Rheeza Grant and Ab­by Black­man, both ad­vanced to the main draw knock­out when the fifth stop of the NORCE­CA Beach Vol­ley­ball Cir­cuit be­gan yes­ter­day.

TT beach volleyballers stole the show, on Sunday night, as Rheeza Grant and Abby Blackman (women) as well as Daneil Williams and Dante Stewart (men) defended their respective Barbados Olympic Association Independence Invitational Games (BIIG) titles at Pirate’s Cove, Barbados.

TRINIDAD AND Tobago will field four teams of two, at the Punta Cana, Dominican Republic leg of the NORCECA Beach Volleyball Circuit.
